How does it work?
Field deposit mobilisation officers (FDMOs) visit Bayport Micro’s customers every day to collect the money the traders want to deposit into their BaySusu accounts. The officers operate from Bayport Micro’s four branches and use a point of sale (POS) device to record the transactions.
Customers who wish to save every second day, or even weekly, get a savings box. The collection officer visits once or twice a week to empty the box and deposit the contents. Customers have to save at least GHS 5 per day.
