Bayport Scholarships

Helping people to have a chance at a better life is not limited to financial services and solutions. We also contribute in other ways to the communities in which we do business. Following are just three stories that illustrate our commitment to our country and its people.

In 2015, Bayport invested in the higher education of 60 young Zambians. In response to a call for bursaries from the University of Zambia, Bayport donated K504 755 to the university. The donation covered the students’ tuition, accommodation, registration and other fees, as well as a monthly allowance. In addition, Bayport invited the top performing scholarship students to join its internship programme and gain workplace experience during their holidays.

Sarah Chalwe

Sarah Chalwe graduated as a medical doctor from the University Teaching Hospital in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery (MB ChB). Bayport fully sponsored Sarah’s studies from her third to her final year (2016 – 2021), also making it possible for her to obtain a BSc in human biology.

Auderia Nambeya

Auderia Nambeya completed a BA degree, majoring in political science, at the end of the 2019 academic year having studied with a full Bayport scholarship for four years.
